I would just like to say that the LOF gloves have saved my ass. We were conducting a night-ops counter narcotics boarding on a ship that was smuggling 300 kilos of cocaine into the US. We came along side, put up the caving ladder, and then began to ascend onto the ship. The seas were very rough and they were sending 6-8 foot swells over the small boat. Naturally, the caving ladder can become slippery with that much salt water on it. As I was going up, a massive wave hit me and took my feet out from under me. Normally, wearing 70lbs of gear, my grip would have broke loose and I would have taken a quick trip into the sea. But not this time. I had been wearing my LOF Pointman gloves and put the TEGS tape onto the rails of the caving ladder. My grip never even moved....even when saturated with sea water. It allowed me the time to recover and continue my ascent.
If not for the LOF gloves and the TEGS system, I would have definitely gone for a swim and jeopardized the completion of the mission.
Thanks guys, you saved my tail!

Brian,
Quick Review of feedback I received from Soldiers who wore them while
conducting live fire training over 5 days.
PRO's:
Good dexterity
Great grip
When grip tape is added to heavier weapons platforms (M249 / M240 and M4 with M320, PEQ 15 Mounted) hand fatigue was noticeably cut down from not having to maintain such a tight grip for control; major plus.
All mentioned that the finger / thumb pad addition for use of electronic devices with touch screens would be great and long as it did not mess with the grip or trigger finger dexterity.
Liked knuckle protection material.
It is hard to judge durability in just five days but they were run hard and not one seam failed and none have holes in them. In some placed it looked like the grip material was wearing thin but it was still working without any noticeable decline in grip ability.
CON's:
None that are big deals.
Color seemed a bit off the UCP color and looked a little to pastel. I told them that I thought the Nomex version was a little darker and that should be what we are using anyway.
Velcro strap gets debris in it and does not want to close. This happens to all Velcro when you are crawling around in the bush and dirt.
Size runs a little small.
All the gloves we received had the knuckle pad a little off, some more than others but it was noticeable. On the pair I wore you could see the pad clearly was not lined up with the centerline of the finger.
I did not put my pair through the ruff tuff stuff they did but I did do some standard tests.
I first tested the grip with plain water and no additional tape. It be my competitor glove. I then tested it wet again with the added tape on a metal pole and it was solid.
I did the same test as above using human blood and had the same results, great grip ability.
I did the same test again with diesel fuel and still it beat my gloves hand down.
5 did notice that the tape began to peel off the Soldier grips kind of quickly but we did not do any special cleaning prior to putting it on and the weapons were already dusty but theu might include some direction to get the best adhesion when applying the tape to different surfaces.
Very cool gloves and an innovative way to increase felt grip strength and reduce hand fatigue. Water, Blood and Diesel are all common liquids found on the battlefield and training grounds and this system is amazing.
I will continue messing with my pair and see how they hold up to other tests.
If you do decide to go with them definitely go with the Nomex and check to see if they can darken up the color a bit, and ensure they get the knuckle pad on straight.

Brian,
So far I am really impressed with the gloves. They have lasted longer than any other glove of this type that I have had.
I have a few small holes starting around the fingers with the cloth. I was worrying about them as they started to fray. However, I noticed there was another layer under them. So, as of this far my skin is not exposed.
The TEGS material is incredible. I can't believe how strong and durable it is. I moved some C-Wire and couldn’t even feel it where the TEGS is, as soon as the barbs hit the leather it let me know it was there. I also picked up a very hot object and melted some of it but didn't realize it until I took the glove off later on.
The knuckle protector is the best that I have ever had. Unlike the traditional hard knuckles, these actually absorb a lot of shock from an impact. I have used the Oakley gloves and they do not absorb any of the impact. Also, as much as I have beat these gloves up the knuckle protectors show no wear whatsoever. They still look brand new, minus the dirt.
As far as improvements the only thing I would like is to see the TEGS on the shooting finger. I did experiment with it and know that a lot of people will say that it affects their trigger pull. I did use my middle finger on both hands while firing and it did not affect me. The leather in that area has held up but is getting very thin. While adding the TEGS there it would make a more durable and add more protection to the finger. That would be the only change that I would make at this time.
I have had a lot of people ask me about the gloves and have gave them your website. I don’t know if they have followed through or not but I still recommend them. The major one is Tony Grano from Controlled Force.
Once again thanks for a superb product and I will be purchasing more in the future.

Hey Brian,
So here is where we stand
My opinion:
Best glove I have seen yet:
1: TEGS system is brilliant
2: fit is amazing I can sow in them
3: design is perfect. The knuckles are cutting edge and functional
4: durability. Well they are still in great shape, ( I have never had a
pair last more the 3 weeks)
Great product and looking forward to seeing what you put out this year at
Shot!

Good Morning Mr. Miller
...As for the gloves I freaking love them. I put on that pistol tape you sent me and it is holding up like a champ. With no problems. And the gloves are doing good. Getting a little worn out but they will make the whole year im sure of it.
As for that sling you sent me I started using the one point application on it and as soon as Sgt Maj saw hit he told me to put my tan one back on cause he didn’t want me walking around with different colors and reminded me that im with a General and I have to represent the Marine Corps. So if you want I can send it back to you and you can find some one that can use it. Im sorry for this I really liked it though and I really liked how it was set up and I could use the one point on my gear and then transistion to the three point when I had my gear off.
Thanks again though for allowing me to test it out. Well, I hope things are going well for you back home and I will get you that pick soon.

Brian,
As far as the gloves go, they are great. In the 4 months that I’ve been wearing them, I have not had any problems with stitching coming undone or other defects due to construction or design. They were initially a little tight around the fingers, but they broke in within 3-4 uses and I have not had any comfort issues wearing them since then. The hardened knuckles are both intimidating and practical, as I’ve smacked my hands a number of times that would have seriously hurt me and damaged other gloves.
I do have a slight problem that the black dye from the palm surfaces tends to bleed onto my hands when I sweat, which is something that you spend a lot of time doing out here. However, the more that I wear them, the less they bleed.
One modification that I felt needed was the addition of a hole on each glove that I can use to clip them to my gear. I did this by punching a hole through the grip spot on the inside of the cuffs. That area seemed more reinforced than the rest of the glove and I have not had any problems with ripping.
The microdot grip system is really outstanding. I do not have the loss of tactile sensation with your gloves that I’ve had with other others – I still feel like I’ve got a sense of touch while wearing them. The grip tape is really great. I have it on the grip of both my pistol and rifle. It gives me a sure sense to total control when using my weapons, even if I don’t have a full grip on them. Where it really shines is when I am not wearing the gloves – it adds a bit of padding that helps me get a really solid grip without overgripping, no matter how hard I squeeze.
In short, your gloves are great. I really like the grip system, they provide the same or greater protection as other manufacturers’ contemporary nomex gloves, and they have a level of quality put into their production that I have not seen in other tactical gloves.
I’ve forwarded your email to some of the other members on our detail who received your gloves, so you should be hearing from them as well. Sorry again for the delay in response – I hope to send you some more feedback in another few months.

Thanks for the gloves Brian,
Line of Fire has a great product, and the tegs system is something that must be experienced to be fully appreciated.
I use them every day here in Helmand Province, I have the blast cuffs on my gloves, it adds a bi more peace of mind to know I have a little added protection, and a very positive gripping system, no more fumbling with slippery magazines mate!
Cheers!

Brian,
Thanks for sending me off with the 3-2-1 sling as you can see {photo attached}. I have been issued the M-92 Yugo underfolder, it is the perfect sling for this configuration (shorty) as it resides comfortably at my side ready for deployment at any given moment, in addition I can climb into any aircraft, or armored vehicle hands free, and the weapon system is already oriented in a safe downward angle.
As for the gloves and tape, the tegs system really works, as this part of the world has a very fine silica type sand over time it has a lubricating effect on virtually every gloved surface I've tried in the past. The tegs system defeats this with very little efffort on my part, just by using the peel and stick tape on to the weapon system, I have the peace of mind knowing I have positive control when I need it.
Personal Best!!

Thank you so much for the gloves, they work great. I have used them a few times at the range out here and have loved them. As you know with the drawdown going on over here in Iraq our mission tempo is pretty low, not like my previous deployment. But i thank you so much for them, i have been looking at the bags you sell online and am thinking about purchasing one in the future. I am leaving the army when our deployment is over and have been looking for a job in the weapon repair/armorer type jobs and i know this bag will work great for me. So thank you again for the gloves and feel free to use the testimonial that you have.
Thank you,

Brian,
I received my hybrid case and wanted to share a couple ideas with you. First of all, this case is the best designed gun case I have ever seen-bar none; the hard sides, the quality of the fabric, the workmanship in construction, and of course the design. I have never seen a case with such an effective retention system, a system that can be used for different shaped guns without modifications. The only other case design that holds a gun as securely and protectively is the type where there are 3 levels of foam with the middle cut out to fit a certain weapon(s). With that design you need to replace the middle layer for each different gun. Additionally the ample side pocket, with the removable and transportable magazine holders is brilliant- and again unique.
I strongly suggest that you explore marketing your hybrid cases through Cabela’s, Midway USA, and any other high volume seller of these types of accessories. I think it likely that were you to be able to offer this on their websites the response would be overwhelmingly positive. I am only regretful that I am not able to participate in the marketing of such a fine invention. Please feel free to use my evaluation in any efforts. I have been around and handling firearms for 50 years and have seen no other case that provides comparable features.
